I was born in Lafayette, New York. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Law degree from Albany Law School. I earned my license to practice law in 2008. Click here for a list of my bar admissions.
Before entering private practice in 2009, I worked for Thomson-Reuters/West Publishing as an Attorney-Editor on their Litigation team. In 2009, I became associated with a Buffalo-based law firm that was focused primarily on Social Security Disability law. I was based in Rochester and served the Rochester clientele.
What I do for Clients
I joined Modica Law Firm during September of 2010. I handle labor and employment (including whistleblower), disability benefit (including Social Security Disability and New York State Retirement System Disability Pension), workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. I also represent employers who have been assessed with penalties by the New York State Department of Labor. I have represented clients in proceedings before governmental agencies, including the Social Security Administration, the New York Workers’ Compensation Board, the New York State Department of Labor and the New York State Retirement System. I am a member of professional organizations. They help me stay current and better serve our clients. Click here for a list of these professional organizations.
We are generous and community oriented. We give back in many ways, including donating our time (e.g., handling cases pro bono), talent (e.g., speaking to community groups) and treasure (e.g., giving and raising funds for worthy organizations). Click here for more information about our community involvement.
I serve in the leadership of the Young Lawyers Section [“YLS”] of the Monroe County Bar Association [“MCBA”]. I am Co-Chair of the Disability, Labor & Employment Law Committee of the MCBA. I previously served on the Executive Committee of the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Rochester event.
I was very pleased to be included on the “Super Lawyers” Rising Star List in Upstate New York for 2016 & 2017. This prestigious designation is based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement for lawyers practicing less than 10 years.
My wife and I live in Webster with our son and our cat.
My non-law passions include spending as much time as possible with family and friends, hiking, biking, kayaking, being outdoors and keeping active.
