Q. “After we extended an offer to a candidate–and after that candidate quit her other job–one of our staff members discovered a Facebook post from her that we found very worrisome–something that our clients might find insulting. It was made in a personal context and was not related to her work, her past company or our company.
But in a professional services business where reputations and perceptions matter, we are still concerned. What would be the consequences of us withdrawing the offer to this candidate, and is it ethical to do so?”
